Many young believers quietly carry questions they are afraid to say out loud. Why does God allow suffering? How do I know the Bible is true? What if I do not feel anything when I pray?
The good news is that Scripture makes room for honest questions. In Mark 9:24 a father says to Jesus, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief.” Jesus did not turn him away. He healed his son.
Doubt and unbelief are not the same thing. Doubt asks and keeps walking toward God. Unbelief closes the door. If you are asking questions while still seeking Him, you are in good company.
Do not ask alone. Find a pastor, a mentor or a mature friend who will listen without panicking. Read, pray and keep showing up to community, even when you do not feel like it.
Some questions will be answered quickly, and some will stay with you for years. Faith is not having every answer. It is trusting the One who does, one honest day at a time.
Try this week: write down your three hardest questions and share one of them with a trusted mentor or friend.
