About Recharge Global

FROM A CAMPUS GATHERING
TO A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

What began as a gathering of students seeking God’s presence has become a growing movement committed to awakening a generation through worship, prayer, discipleship, and purpose.

Our Story

THE BEGINNING

Recharge Global was born from a simple conviction: a generation transformed by God’s presence can transform the world.

In 2014, a group of students led by Dr. Richard Amoako launched the Free To Worship Conference on the campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. What started as a student-led gathering quickly became a space where young people encountered God through worship, prayer, and the teaching of His Word.

As the movement continued to grow, so did the vision.

Years of prayer, stewardship, and spiritual discernment revealed a greater mandate: not merely to host events, but to cultivate a culture of worship and prayer that would impact campuses, communities, and nations.

This renewed vision gave birth to Recharge Global and the Recharge Prayer Summit, with its inaugural gathering held on March 28, 2025, at the CCB Auditorium on the KNUST campus.

Today, Recharge Global serves as a platform for spiritual awakening, leadership development, outreach, and discipleship, empowering young adults, college students, and high school students to discover purpose, embrace their calling, and boldly take charge of their God-given mandate.

What began on one campus is now becoming a movement reaching across generations and borders. And we believe this is only the beginning.

Our Journey

A DECADE OF STEWARDSHIP

Our Mission

Empowering a Generation to Take Charge

To empower young adults, college students, and high school students to arise in prayer and take charge of their vision, purpose, spiritual mantle, and God-given mandate.

We exist to create environments where people encounter God, grow in their faith, discover purpose, and develop the confidence to walk boldly in their calling.

Through worship, prayer, discipleship, leadership development, and outreach, we are raising a generation committed to advancing God’s Kingdom in every sphere of influence.

Our Vision

A Global Culture of Worship

To reignite a culture of worship and prayer on campuses, within communities, and across nations.

We envision a generation marked by spiritual hunger, biblical conviction, authentic worship, and transformational leadership: a generation that influences culture while remaining rooted in Christ.

Our vision is not confined to events or locations. It is the cultivation of a global movement where people encounter God, experience renewal, and become catalysts for revival wherever they are called.
